All public bodies’ members and officers are responsible for the conduct of public business and for spending public money. The Council is required by law to safeguard, properly account for and use economically, efficiently and effectively, the council’s public money.

The Community Council has proper arrangements for the governance of their financial affairs and internal and external auditors are appointed each year to review and report on all aspects of the council’s accounts and use of resources.
